We love and welcome children at Church@thepeak. To help children grow to love the Lord Jesus, Kids' Church runs in conjunction with our Sunday Service. Kids' Church is for children up to Year 8 of high school. There are four different groups – Pebbles, Mini Peaks, Explorers and Base Camp.
Jesus said,
"Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
Pebbles: for children who can sit unaided to 3 years of age. We learn from the bible, play, do a simple craft, sing and pray. Pebbles learn foundational truths of God; how he made everything and loves them.
Mini Peaks: for children in preschool to kindergarten. We learn from the Bible, play games, do craft, sing and pray, all relating to a big idea of God. Mini Peaks learn and understand that God loves and care for them, and Christ is our powerful friend and Son of God.
Explorers: for children in Years 1-5. We learn from the Bible, engage in fun activities and pray together. Explorers look at books and themes of the bible to learn God’s unfolding salvation plan across his whole word.
Base Camp: for Years 6-8. Together we look at the Bible and have a space to ask tough questions.
Please contact our Kids' Church leader Janelle Bryant if you have any questions
Babies
We understand that babies make noise and we're more than happy for you and your baby to be with us in church. However if you need to comfort or soothe your baby in a space away from loud noise and music, please use our Pebbles room. There is also baby change table in the disabled toilet.
Allergies
As there are a number of children in our community with allergies. We ask that you do not bring any nut products to church. We meet in a school that has a strict no nuts policy and we would not like to see any children harmed.
